# L's

## <mark style="color:blue;">Link(ing)</mark>

The term **Link** or **Linking** refers to buddying or associating a block piece to a [*<mark style="color:blue;">Color Tag</mark>*](https://glossary.prequilt.com/pq-glossary/cs#color-tags). Once a piece is linked to a color tag, the block piece will automatically update to show the most current color being used by the Color Tag.

## <mark style="color:blue;">Lock(ed)</mark>

The term **Lock** or **Locked** refers to the process of locking a color tag so that its fabric will not be changed by the [*Color Randomizer*](/pq-glossary/cs.md#color-randomizer). If a color tag is locked, the fabric linked to it will not be randomly replaced when the Color Randomizer feature is used. Only unlocked color tags will change.
